Passing gas provokes battery charge

What the hell is the world coming to????

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) — As if getting a DUI wasn’t enough, a man arrested for driving under the influence got in a lot more trouble at the police station.

Police stopped Jose Cruz on Route 60 in South Charleston Monday night for driving with his headlights off.

Then, he failed sobriety tests and was arrested.

When police were trying to get fingerprints, police say Cruz moved closer to the officer and passed gas on him. The investigating officer remarked in the criminal complaint that the odor was very strong.

Cruz is now charged with battery on a police officer, as well as DUI and obstruction.

Here’s a copy of the complaint

In the past week…

things have been hard. I’ve been on call and have had to come in 4 times so far. Then Sunny, the owner of, decided to really screw up the hosting server. This affected all US customers we have, including my personal site – He decided to take off of the server. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, but considering that everyone else’s websites used and as nameservers, no one could access their sites. Upon seeing this, I immediately asked to have the server transferred to my name. After getting that complete I had to do a full rebuild of our management software, re-create all user accounts and restore their data from backups. GAH!@#

On top of that, I’ve had to come into the office after hours while this was going on. Even better is that I have 2 reports due today and I have only had time to work on one. This job shit is a big pain in the ass. I barely got my damn grass cut this week, and if I don’t do that I get fined by the county.. more gah!
